Over the past couple of months, we have raised $250 for the Arthritis Society and $149.25 for Victoria Public School.In 2011, we were honoured to contribute to the following: the London's Abused Women's Centre, Meals on Wheels, The Grand Theatre, Easter Seals, Alzheimer Society, Ducks Unlimited, Bullfrog Power, EcoLiving London, and more. Many thanks to all our customers and friends that helped us to make these contributions.
April 5th, 2011We have donated a total of $2,643.87 to the Canadian Red Cross for the Earthquake and Tsunami relief fund in Japan. This amount reflects 100% of the sales of our Japanese Sencha, Tea Haus Matcha, Fujieda Sencha and Fukamushi Cha. Your participation exceeded our expectations by far and we would like to thank everyone that made our fundraiser such a great success.
As of March 19th, the Canadian Red Cross is transferring $5 million in cash to the Japanese Red Cross to support relief efforts following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. The money will be used to support emergency health and the distribution of relief items to people impacted by this disaster.
In light of the recent events in Japan, we would like to help out as much as we can with any relief effort in that country. We have been in contact with business partners and acquaintances in Japan. They are situated in areas that were not affected by the tsunami but the shock is widespread. The true devastation is beyond anyone's comprehension. We have decided to donate 100% of the sales of the following teas to the relief efforts of the Canadian Red Cross (valid March 14th until March 31st): Sencha FujiedaFukamushi Cha (deep steamed japanese green tea from the Shizuoka prefecture) Tea Haus MatchaJapanese Sencha

January 11th, 2011Community Support. We are proud and very happy to have helped a great local school, Victoria Public School, with a fund-raising effort, by blending a special tea for them and selling it through the Christmas season. Sales of Viking Blend were very good and we have been able to raise over $400 for the school. Thanks to all who supported. The tea is still for sale in our store and online!
